The Company was incorporated in 1986 and offered IT services and solutions to the telecommunications sector worldwide. It is a part of the $12.5 billion Mahindra Group, in partnership with British Telecommunications plc. or BT, and among the world’s leading communication service providers. It is primarily focused on the telecommunications industry, as it is a leading global systems integrator and business transformation consulting corporation. It has also recently expanded its IT portfolio by acquiring the leading global business and IT services company, Mahindra Satyam (also known as Satyam Computer Services). The Company's capabilities are spread across a broad spectrum, including Business Tech Mahindra has implemented more than 16 Greenfield Operations globally. It has over 128 active customer engagements mostly in the Telecom sector. The company was also involved in about 8 transformation programs of incumbent telecom operators. The Company's client list includes prominent companies such as British Telecom (BT), AT&T, Motorola, and Alcatel–Lucent are one of them. BT is the largest client that contributes 60% to the company's revenues. It has also received several certifications such as ISO 9001:2000, ISO/IEC 27001:2005, ISO/IEC 20000–1:2005, SEI–CMMI Level 5 P–CMM Level 5 and SSE–CMM Level 3.Some of the Services:
- IT Services– Under this segment, it offers various services such as solution integration, consulting, application development and management, application management, revenue management services, and infrastructure management.
- Research and Development services– Under this segment, it offers technological solutions such as software development, testing, hardware development, network offering, and more to leading telecom equipment producers worldwide.
- BPO– Under this segment, it offers outsourcing services in the sectors of finance and accounting, HR Outsourcing, inventory management, order management, and contract management, are among them.
