The Castrol India was incorporated in 1973, and it is in an association with India, which goes way back in the year 1910 when CC Wakefield & Company made an entry in the market with automotive lubricants. It was the first overseas branch of CC Wakefield & Company which started as a trading unit. Currently, the Castrol is the second largest player in the Indian lubricant industry and is also the market leader in the sector of retail automotive lubricant. It manufactures and markets a wide range of automotive and industrial lubricants. The company offers lubricants for virtually all types of domestic and commercial and industrial applications. For automotive lubrication which includes motorcycles 2–stroke and 4–stroke engines, and car petrol, and diesel engines, our products may consist of an extensive range of both manual as well as the automatic transmission fluids, chain lubricants and waxes, suspension fluids, coolants, brake fluids, greases, cleaners, and other maintenance products. The company also produces products for the agricultural machinery, general industry, plants, and marine engineering use. All our products have a specific global chemical registration status & to meet compliance in all the locations wherever the product is used.
  1. Automotive lubricants:
It is developed for the consumers and supplying lubricants, and specialties such as gear oils, greases, and other ancillary products & services to cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles which may include heavy-duty consumer trucks, other mining & agriculture vehicles.
  1. Aviation, industrial, marine, and energy lubricants:
These are developed for the business to the business community, and supplying solutions to the manufacturing, mining, aviation and oil, shipping, and exploration industries. Our global business operations also provide worldwide assurance with improved productivity and environmental products while following trusted advice and focusing on optimizing our customer's production processes.
