Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) was founded in 1979 and is based in Chennai, India. It is a leading manufacturer of newsprint, writing, and printing paper.

Over the years, TNPL has expanded its capacity, improved its technology and product quality, and diversified into other paper products. The company has also been focused on sustainability and environmental conservation efforts.

According to recent financial reports, TNPL has reported revenue of approximately INR 7,000 crore ($962 million) and profit after tax of around INR 1,000 crore ($138 million) in the financial year ending March 2022.
