The company was initially incorporated in New Delhi as on March 16, 1995, as a private limited company under the name of 'Domino's Pizza India Private Limited.' It was soon converted to a public limited company as on September 14, 1996, following which the company's name was again changed to Domino’s Pizza India Ltd". And subsequently, on September 24, 2009, the name of the company was finally changed to its present name as Jubilant FoodWorks Limited. And over the period since the year 1996, the Domino's Pizza India has remained as the focused target in delivering great tasting pizzas and sides with superior quality, and exceptional customer service, and also value for money offerings. The company has endeavored to establish a reputation for being a home delivery specialist which is either capable of delivering its food items within 30 minutes, or else the "FREE" concept is implemented to its community of loyal customers from all its stores across India. It is a food–service company, and currently, it also operates Domino's pizza stores in India, and via its sub-franchisee, in Sri Lanka. The Food Franchising Report 2009 has published by CIFTI, and FICCI has estimated that the company is also one of the largest as well as the fastest growing international food brands in South Asia and one of the market leaders in the organized pizza home delivery section specifically in India with over 65% of its market share. As of November 30, 2009, it operates about 286 stores in India which are located in 22 different states and Union Territories, including 59 cities across India and, via a sub-franchisee named DP Lanka Private Limited or DP Lanka, with five stores in Sri Lanka. It is the master franchisee of the Domino’s Pizza Overseas Franchising in countries such as Netherland, and for India, and Nepal, and Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The company is being promoted by the Shyam Sunder Bhartia, Hari Shanker Bhartia, and Jubilant Enpro Private Ltd and opened its first Domino's Pizza store in India in January 1996 which is located in New Delhi. Currently, Domino's Pizza India has grown into a countrywide network of stores with an expert team of over 6,000 people. And as of November 30, 2009, the company did not operate any of the stores in both Nepal and Bangladesh. And each of the last three years, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited has also received the "Distinguished Achievement Award of the International Franchise Association" which is a distinction from the Domino's International for being one of the fastest growing Domino's franchisees worldwide. Its operations are ranked no. 1 in the Domino's global services among the countries with either 100 or more stores in the year 2006 and 2007 and amongst came in the top three in 2008, according to cumulative Operations Evaluation Report ("OER") score of the company such as 89.30%, 92.40% and 85.00% for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008, respectively.

The Milestones:

1. 2006:

The Domino's celebrated the opening of its 8,000th store with the simultaneous celebrations of the opening of its 5,000th US store in Huntley, Ill., and its 3,000th international store in Panama City, Panama. Domino's extends its status as the 'Official Pizza of NASCAR' and the official Pizza of the Michigan International Speedway. The company also raised $1.34 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during its third annual 'Thanks and Giving' campaign. And also Domino's Pizza introduces Brownie Squares which are warm, delicious, bite-sized brownies delivered with a fudge dipping sauce.

2. 2007:

Domino's introduces OREO Dessert Pizza which is a thin dessert-style crust that is layered with vanilla sauce and also covered with OREO cookie crumbles and then topped with sweet icing. The company introduces its Veterans and Delivering the Dream franchising programs, and it rolls out online and mobile ordering. It is also ranked in the Top 10 for the ninth time in Entrepreneur magazine's annual listing of great franchise opportunities. Domino's launches its 'You Got 30 Minutes' campaign with a new advertising agency, Crispin Porter + Bogusky.

1. According to the India Retail Report of 2009, published by Images Multimedia Private Limited, it is the largest pizza chain in India with the fastest growing multinational fast food chains between the year 2006–2007 and 2008–2009 respectively, in terms of the number of stores.
2. 2010 – Company has changed its name from Domino's Pizza India Ltd. to Jubilant Foodworks Ltd. 2011
3. 2014 – JFL Sweeps “The Coca Cola Golden Spoon Awards 2014”.
